New Directions in Women, Peace and Security: Interactions with Civil Society

Soumita Basu, Paul Kirby and Laura J. Shepherd recently published the edited volume New Directions in Women, Peace and Security (Bristol University Press, 2020), which explores the histories and futures of the Women, Peace and Security agenda, examining topics from the legacies of coloniality to the prospects of international law, and from the implications of global arms trade to the impact of climate change.

To mark the publication of this important new contribution, this panel discussion explores various dimensions of the collection, and in particular draws out the theme of civil society engagement with the agenda.
